I love you, man! I really enjoy your shows, especially your interviews and panels. What I especially like is your emphasis on always trying to tell the truth as you see it and you state that fact.
I am an American Christian of the current brand, Bible-believing but practicing it poorly. But I have been questioning the media narratives for 40 years. There are understandings and constraints on things today that are anti-Christian and un-American.
I like Jordan Peterson’s “I got your shot so leave me to hell alone!” You also stated a similar thing. This is the free American statement to our governments! Do we disagree on lifestyles?
Well, Yeah! But we do agree on truth and what may be true! Our lifestyles are between us separately and GOD!
Most opinion today is cheap shots from all perspectives. I never got on Twitter because of that and I quit using Facebook for the same reason. I’m still on FB but I do all my current views on thinkingtogether.locals.com and share those with my Sunday School class!
Too many of us have let the media silence our viewpoints for most of my life which is 78 years. The gun control issue was what got me looking at the issues. I could see no real reason for that beyond crime control. It seemed wrong to take everyone’s freedom away in that way and leaving us vulnerable to violence. Most of today’s issues are like that issue. It is all over-control = dictatorship!
The primary, most important understanding today is that our culture is being driven by people who are lusting after total political power. We call them Leftists. They always do
DESTROY EVERYTHING TO ACCOMPLISH THAT! It always goes to perversion and destruction of human freedoms.
Our Founders studied what was right and wrong with human governments and designed our Constitution on the second try. Glenn Beck and Joshua Charles highlighted the Founders’ ideas in THE ORIGINAL ARGUMENT. It is a cliff notes version of the Federalist Papers. Their ideas sound surprisedly modern! More people need to get familiar again with those ideas!
Also, after reading the Anti-Federalist Papers, some of them had valid concerns.
I have been reading the Bible over and over, all the way through from Genesis to Revelations since about 2005. It takes me about 8 months. It helps me with ideas for the Sunday School class but it also, more importantly, gives me insights to societies. Human history has been messy for the 6 millennia reflected in the Bible. We need the Bible for better perspectives!
Humans were created to be GOD’s friends and “children”. They messed up that GOD-created “utopia” with their selfish disobedience. But we still need GOD’s Will and Ways to live together. Humans don’t do that well because of our natural selfish disobedience. We must learn in our short years to appreciate all things and “do right.” Law teaches us what that looks like! The Bible also teaches us that before our laws were even made! There must be a basic
overarching truth to gauge human laws. We are not using that now! That is the bedrock of our American problems. Neither are we living within the Constitution and haven’t been doing so since at least Woodrow Wilson’s presidency and it has been going downhill since then, if not before, like since the Civil War.
Our American Law was based on proper relationships. Humans were created for proper relationships: two basic and proper ones—GOD & one another. The proper relationship is
LOVE. The Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule reflect this! Jesus highlights this in Matthew 22:34-40. This is the Schema Israel & Leviticus 19:18. The Founders tested their ideas against these principles. We should too in our own lives.
These principles stand in the way of Leftists. Any sensible person who seeks truth knows this, but we are constantly distracted by our ongoing issues. Proper relationships, traditional families, individual freedoms and free enterprise are roadblocks for Leftists.
Our history also has been rewritten and perverted. We don’t know anymore that at one time England was under Calvinist-influenced Protestantism. That was when Cromwell was whatever he called himself. The Catholic kings had the history written after he left control. Under Cromwell was when Parliament had the Westminster Confession of Faith developed.
Another historical story that is forgotten or ignored was that of the Huguenots. They were also Calvinists in France. They were some of the most successful people in France. They were eventually persecuted by Catholic kings and driven from France. Some of my mother’s family is descended from them!
These are only a few things that inform America’s founding. Religious freedom is, or was, very important to many people who immigrated to America. Without that, there is no freedom in our country! We would be just another world-weary area! These views are sourced in Judaism, also!
Americans have listened to experts and let our freedoms drift away. We have let our political leaders take and keep un-Constitutional political power! That is the very Restoration Reformation that is needed today! Christians and Jews do need to pray for the salvation of these enemies of freedom! You know, “pray for your enemies!” We are being indoctrinated to hate and defeat them. We need GOD to hear our prayers for them. GOD loves them, too, just not their actions! Oh, that is our individual stories, also! The joke is on us: we have more in common with one another than our issues may indicate. Our media is not highlighting that—only dividing us more!
Christians and other humans: love is obeying the good and quitting the bad. Do we need it defined? It is in the Bible and available to anyone who cares to look! Americans have no excuse. No country has more available Bibles than we do. It is simple and very readable. I recommend the English Standard Version.
My point is not to sell my religion. My focus is to seek all the truth I can find! This is the proper search and very useful perspective. Many people have written about this. They continue to write about it today. We must recover by rediscovery the foundation. Our laws and leaders today are increasingly several varieties of Marxist. That perspective has much history of total failure! We do not need to go there if we wish to remain free!
Hey, you are free to be a Leftist if you want to be one! Go for it! But you do not deserve and must not be given or allowed your ultimate goal because freedom doesn’t exist anymore in your areas of total control! We need to understand as free Americans that once Leftists get to their utopia, they fight and kill one another over who get to be BIG BROTHER! What an ugly, unfunny joke on those who expedite that process.
I would rather be a poorly acting Christian than a non-entity and slave of some government!

Dennis Prager talks about these ideas. So does Glenn Beck. More of our citizens must get clued in! I don’t thing that any of this is new information to you. But it might be so for many younger Americans who have been miseducated in public schools.
This is one of my meditations and themes for the last several years. It is like a unfathomable, universe-wide subject. This is a good starting discussion of this subject. It is packed with meaning.
Humans are made in GOD’s Image and HIS likeness.
That Image in humans is this: our individual spirit & attributes.
The reason is so that we can relate to HIM. Our excuse that GOD isn’t human and a figment of our imagination is totally destroyed by Jesus. Freedom is in this discussion.
GOD created humans to be able to relate to HIM. Jesus came to be our individual, sinless Lamb of sacrifice. He will come again as the Messiah that the Jews are expecting but it will be to return believers (all those who have chosen to believe forever) to the Eden relationship with GOD. {The Biblical book of Leviticus is what perfect obedience would look like.

While it is humanly impossible for humans to be totally good, we always can do much better than we have been doing if we individually want to do so! There is no concept that humans can totally achieve in this life. This applies individually, in groups or collectively.
The pathologies of today’s culture are apparent. However, they are called benefits & loudly proclaimed. They must be clearly seen as dangerous & wrong to our once-free country!
They are deliberately destroying Christianity, our country, our families, our individual personhood & our individual freedoms. Does this seem to be too extreme a statement?
Our media are calling evil “good” & good “evil”. Should that be totally right & silently allowed? Free speech & opinions must not live there? Freedom of speech is not absolute. This severe problem should be curtailed & limited within the proper bounds & situations!
Is it possible or allowed to seek those limits that do not destroy freedom of speech itself?

I do not support ANY, ANY political personality cults!!!! Left, Right, middle, it doesn’t matter! If you take the political part out, it is still so! Is this clear enough? I don’t support cultish “groupyism”!
My expectation is that any American who wishes to serve America in a political office would speak and act in support of our cherished American principles that are reflected in the best writings of our founders and all sensible people since then!
I am disgusted by the pragmatic politics and the excessive partisanship that the media love, especially for Democrats, it seems. I am disgusted with the pro-to-total leftism in our media. They do not represent thinking, peaceful citizens’ views! Individual humans are all over the belief spectrum with the issues. That is why discussion is necessary!
